Guernsey
Gets Great Grooves With Gavin Gracyk
By Rupert X Pellett
Ohio County Fairs Motocross Championship Series - Round 24
Guernsey County Fairgrounds
Old Washington, OH
SEP 13
"Yeah,
baby, It's groovy and shagadelic!"
Team
Green rider Gavin Gracyk, of Blissfield, Ohio was the rider to
beat here in Old Washington, as
this Eastern Ohio fair race, round number twenty - four,
was owned by the young moto-star. Gracyk came out to earn some
money and get some racing under his belt at this Guernsey County
Fair, and he did just that -
winding his way around the small, tight and technical circuit -
Gracyk's conditioning,
experience and flat-out speed won him both the 125 and 250 A
class/ money races here. Finishing
second in both of these expert-level divisions, was
Newark's Dickie Hoy, riding aboard his Buckeye Powersports/ Swifty
Madinger tuned Hondas. Hoy was
obviously the second fastest rider on the track this night,
as his expeditious passing of the
whoops was only matched by Gracyk. Hoy, as usual, would
once again capture the 25 plus class win, as well. Logan's Kenton
Kilbarger was quite spectacular
in his winning the 50cc 7-8 class, as was Corey Carr's mastery of
the 65cc race. Scott Kuchler tore up the 16-24 class, after
posting a very respectable third in
250 A, while Kyle Simmons, from Stone Creek, Ohio stormed off with
the 250 B class victory. In a
surprise entry, Ivan Rose, of Savannah, Georgia took third in the
30 plus class, behind second spot
Dwight Voltz and wiiner, Tim Fink.
