Gets Hot - Sets Things Afire At McArthur

This
rare Monday event at McArthur Motocross Park - on the old
fairgrounds course gives a
chance for the fair - race regulars to get some different style
track time and a rare
opportunity to get into the higher gears.
Thirty
- something Robert Sparks has been a real contender for the last
couple years here in AMA
District eleven - but on some occasions he almost seems unbeatable.
Tackling three classes on this hillside circuit just outside the
city- limits of McArthur -
Sparks and his trusty YZ-250 were able to muster wins in two
of the three classes he entered, as he romped on the 250 B and
thirty plus classes. Suzuki
mounted Scott Hayes took second place in 25 plus, just ahead of
Sparks, yet behind the very-speedy
Dickie Hoy, the victor in this quarter-century club.
Hoy, once again, had a terrific day of racing at this American
Motosports promoted event - Hoy stole off with another three class
wins - something he does on a
regular basis in this Ohio Fair race series. The Buckeye
Powersports backed racer took
both the 125 and 250 pro class wins, as well as 25 plus.
Fittingly,
Ethan Scarberry - a very local native of Mcarthur, whipped up on
the 50cc 7-8 class on his Cobra
- while Alex Arthur, of Stockport, West Virginia, bested
the 4-6 division.
