AUG 14

Team Green's star racer - Gavin Gracyk, of nearby Blissfield, Ohio, showed up with his very trick neon-green Kawasakis and without the normal horse and buggy transportation used by many locals, though he was never short on horsepower here in Millersburg. Returning from a recent strong performance at the AMA National Amateur Motocross Championships at Loretta Lynn's Dude Ranch in Tennessee, Gracyk showed no mercy on the riders back home. Now, the highly talented young man looks ahead to a pro career and leaves his rich amateur history behind. Snatching all the big money with a pair of firsts in the 125 and 250 A classes, Gracyk would send series regular Dickie Hoy into an unsual position - second place, as Hoy would beat all the rest of the stacked expert classes. Donning an Amish hat on the podium, "Buffalo" Bill Reiss was the big hero of the old guys classes here in Millersburg - Reiss sailed his Honda to wins in the 30 and 40 plus classes.
