AMS productions staff held a rare
Monday event at their McArthur location, with local
hotshoes and racers from surrounding states tearing up the circuit
at this fairgrounds fantasy
track.
Ohio privateer pro Chris Whitcraft
and teenage phenomenon Michael Willard each parked
the competition in their classes, as they dominated here at this
Southern Ohio circuit.
Whitcraft, recently switching to Yamahas and returning from
attempting to qualify at the
AMA Chevy Trucks U.S. Motocross Championship Series round at
Mt. Morris, Pennsylvania, was in no
mood for nonsense, he whipped up on the pro
classes here, thrashing the large group of 125 and 250 money class
competitors. Thornville, Ohio's
Willard, sponsored by amxsupport.com, sank his teeth into the
Mini Senior and Schoolboy divisions,
as he sailed his YZ-85 and KTM 125 race-machines in for two
dominant victories. Also worth mentioning was Cannondale rider
Doug Flinner, the Gallipolis native tore up the vet classes,
thumping his green-start button equipped Cannondale 440 in for the
25 and 30 plus overalls, 250 B
and 16-24 class winner Nathan Skaggs is only familiar with one
position in motocross - first
place. He continued his assault of the locals in district eleven
by jumping out to good leads and
running of with two first overall trophies.
