Skaggs And Ames Exchange Wins At Marysville

With over four hundred and fifty
racers turning out for round two of this prestigious Ohio –
based series, the AMS promoters capped off the Memorial Day
Weekend with their traditional Monday motocross at this
farm-side facility in Broadway in style, with not just a great
turnout of riders, but a major talent-level showing, too. Pro
riders Nathan Skaggs and Zach “Attack” Ames, both regulars on
the national pro scene, with Ames more known for his Arenacross
skills as an MDK Honda member and Skaggs mostly an outdoors
specialist – put on quite a display at this natural-terrain
circuit, with Skaggs able to top the 125 Pro class aboard his
Suzukis, as Ames handled the 250 Pro division, aboard his
Hondas. Impressive rides were performed by Lancaster’s Emmett
Rowland, as he turned in a podium spot in the 125’s, and Chris
Leadbeater Jr., who podiumed in the 250’s – aboard his Suzuki.
Leadbeater’s little brother Joey, was the master of the 250 B
class, while appearing to be one of the area’s quickest
amateurs. Connie Feist was, once again, the master of the
old-timers divisions, racking up wins in the 40 and 45+ plus
classes, while taking second behind the very fast Mark Roop in
35+.
