Suzuki sponsored mini-star Zach Ames, of Prospect, Ohio continues
to impress at Ohio motocross
race-tracks, as the fourteen year-old has been applying pressure
on the big bikes now, as well.
Jumping up and hauling the mail aboard his Ronnie Rehmert- tuned
RM’s – Ames left his 250 at home and decided to compete in the
125 B, SuperMini and Schoolboy
classes at this farm-side circuit, ultimately capturing overall
wins in all three classes, with
furious and consistent riding. Another F&S star, David
Whitcraft, of Pickerington, was
victorious in two classes on the day, handily taking the 16-24 and
250 pro class, besting his fast
younger brother, Chris, who is recently recovering from injuries
sustained during the grueling Arenacross series. Chillicothe’s
Nathan Skaggs, Yamaha mounted,
was the man on a mission in 125 pro, startling the fans with his
amazing speed on Marysville’s mostly
natural terrain circuit. Robert Sparks and his Yamaha
had battles all day with Kawasaki-mounted Tim Fink in the
older-dudes classes, Sparks lit
up for the win in 30 plus B - while Fink took the 25 plus. The
25 plus A class was all about Steve
Richards, while Marietta’s Mike Blair stormed home
the winner in the 30 plus money class. In old-old guys
race-action, it was all about
Delaware’s Edmund Moore – he snatched the 40 plus class from
the horde of elderly-yet-fast
gentlemen aboard his mighty Honda.
