relation, but there were two Robinsons kicking tail at the
Pickaway County Fair, as local
legend "King" Richard Robinson of Grove City and Tony
" The Tiger" Robinson
of parts unknown were all about winning and taking names at
stop number three of the prestigious
and pretty-wild Ohio County Fairs Motocross Championship
Series. The "King" was all about easing down from his
mighty throne and joining the
commoners as he set sail aboard his F&S Suzuki RM 250 and
then, promptly and with royal style - dethroned all the attacking
peasants in the 30 and 40 plus
classes. Tony (The Tiger) was not only waging war in the pro
classes with mixed results -
the Suzuki -mounted speedster, recently joining the 25 plus
club, was all about devouring the
quarter century club regulars, as he went on a
mild rampage in that division. Billy Demastry knocked off a nice
second place ride in 25 plus -
behind the Tiger, while the King himself, strolled in behind
Demastry in third. The pro
classes were a dirt-spray battle between the Yamaha of Nathan
Skaggs, KTM Canada's Michael
Willard and F&S Suzuki's Zach Ames. Ames rode well in ending
up third on both 125 and 250 pro classes, with Skaggs screaming
his YZ-125 in for the 125 pro
class win ahead of Willard's KTM, while Willard snatched the
250 class ahead of Skaggs.
