Browning And Buttrick Bust Big At New Lex

Eric Browning and fast young off-road racer Cory Buttrick both brought pit-bikes to the New Lexington Fair, but Cory’s machine had a flat-tire after an impressive practice session, so it would be all Browning in the pit-bike race. Browning, younger brother of “Wild” Willy Browning - a nationally  recognized “King Of Pit-Bikes”, was absolutely unstoppable on the eve,  as a downpour just before race-time didn’t spook the brave lad from Bremen.
“ I’m here to race, I don’t care about no stinkin’ rain, I just hope Willy doesn’t  find out I stole his fast pit-bike for this thing,” explained the younger Browning.  While Browning had no problems leaping through the greasy circuit to take the win, he did insist he needed to powerwash the bike on the way home, so that  “big brother doesn’t go all nuts on me…”. Buttrick , KTM mounted and no stranger to difficult conditions, was having no problems with the slick and tight course, he stole off with the holeshot and the win in 125 B. Buttrick later would take the schoolboy class, as well, also aboard his trusty KTM. Fastest kid of the night honors would have to go to Chase Kilbarger, of Logan, Ohio. Kilbarger, another fast local KTM pilot, was just too much for all the seven – to-eleven year-olds, as he stretched out his leads with every lap in the two 85cc 7-11 year-old divisional races.
