Roop
& Rowland Romp in Marysville
By Rupert X Pellett
Ohio County Fairs Motocross Championship Series - Round 6
AMS -Marysville Motocross Park
Marysville, OH Jul 4
Mark
Roop and Emmett Rowland were just two of the impressionable riders
making an impact at Marysville's
Independence-Day motocross, as hundreds of riders
and a large contingent of spectators ventured out on a warm July
day to see some hardcore
motocross at round six of this Ohio Fair-race series. Rowland,
of Baltimore, Ohio - was unstoppable aboard his Yamahas, as he
strode around at a ridiculous speed at
this fair-race circuit, taking the wins in
the 250 B and 4-stroke Bike classes. Mark Roop, Suzuki mounted and
of veteran-rider status, was
the gentleman - to - beat in both the 25 + A class and
the over 30 division, as he fought off "King" Richard
Robinson to take two first
place plaques on the day. The King himself was all over this
Marysville track, as he blew by all
the old men in the forty-plus class, to handily
take the win, aboard his F& S Suzuki. An amazing day was had
by Austin Primavera, he swept
two 85cc classes, plus took the 65cc class, as well.
In the pro ranks, it was all F&S Suzuki's Zach Ames, once
again Ames went home the day's
big money winner.
