Robinson Runs Ragged In Marysville
By Rupert X Pellett
Ohio County Fairs Motocross Championship Series – Round
18
Marysville Motocross Park
Broadway, OH
Aug 20
Findlay’s Tony “The Tiger” Robinson
didn’t have to travel too far from home to earn his keep, as the
speedy Suzuki rider was quick to establish his superiority at
this jumpy “ outdoor-style” motocross track. Promoters Matt and
Amy Eastman generally hold their events at county fairs, but
this round of the series was held at their farm, just outside
Marysville and Robinson, living just up the road apiece was on
his game. Although far lengthier and speedier than the
fair-courses that Robinson is familiar with, “The Tiger” showed
he has no problem outdoors, as he won both moto’s of the 125 pro
class and then fought off the advances of Mike Blair in the 25
plus “A’ class, to take that division, as well. Although Blair
was one of the fastest racers on the circuit, his spills were
apparent and ugly, as he finished a close second behind
Marysville’s Justin Story in the 30 plus ‘A’ class, as well.
Suzuki-mounted James Kreitzer had another great day of
motocross, sinking his teeth into a first place trophy in the
Schoolboy class and storming home with the top prize in the
four-stroke races, as well.
