Connie Feist, the legendary vet rider from Indiana – made a rare appearance in Ohio as this incredibly talented and seasoned motocross star swept in to take advantage of this prestigious 2007 Ohio Suzuki Spring Series in Broadway. Feist, eager to race against the huge turnout of locals and energetic riders from all over, went five for six in his day of competition, winning both classes of the 40 and 45 plus races, plus almost winning the 35 plus division, which would go to Mark Roop, another hardy vet rider, albeit a Buckeye. Also having a tremendous day was Columbus’ Joey Leadbeater, as he took control of three classes, winning all six moto’s in the 125 B, 250 B and four stroke divisions. In the pro races, pro national riders Nathan Skaggs and Levi Kilbarger went hard at it all day, with Skaggs winning on the the big bikes (250’s) and Kilbarger – who is recently recovering from nagging injuries – would take the 125 pro (Lites) onboard his Honda. In youth action, the Brightwell brothers, up from Cincinnati, were unbelievable, with older brother Walker taking three classes on the day; SuperMini, Schoolboy and 85 (12-15), whil younger brother Hunter tore off with the 85cc (7-11) class overall.
