Competing on a regular basis in AMA 's District eleven, Mark Roop has been known as a solid competitor and a fast combatant on Ohio's motocross circuits. Roop, a vet rider and A level expert racer, was on top of his game here at the final round of AMS promotions Ohio County Fairs Motocross Championship Series, as the Suzuki-mounted rider basically K.O.'d the old-guy classes, sweeping the 25 and 30 plus moto's and, additionally, taking a strong third overall in the 250 pro class. Shaun Kuchler was another racer having a great day in Marysville, he smoked the field in the 16-24 age group - then screamed his Honda in for all the money in the 250 pro class. Finishing second behind Kuchler was Tony Robinson, the winner of the 125 pro class and, also Honda mounted. In the Intermediate classes, it was all about Shawn Johnson, the young Suzuki pilot had his way in conquering the 125 and 250 B races, then was classroom leader in the talented field of Schoolboy racers, as well.
