The
Whitcraft brothers have been fixtures on the district eleven
motocross scene for over a
decade, and here at Marysville, their experience paid off, as they
went one-two in both the pro
classes. Younger brother Chris, returning from injury, was the big
winner of the siblings, as he
won both the 125 and 250 pro classes, aboard his Yamahas. Older
brother David, was often
pulling holeshots on little bro – yet Chris always found a way
around the F&S Suzuki
sponsored David and took all the big money on the day. Well worth
mentioning, was the appearance and
performance of Kentucky’s Ben Riddle – the former factory
Suzuki rider and Loretta Lynn’s amateur champion – was racing
on KTM’s and showed he still
had the speed, finishing with a fourth and a third in the money
classes.
“King”
Richard Robinson had another royal day, snatching the 25 plus A
class from Brian “Gonso”
Gonser and his STF Motorsports backed CR-450F. Gonser came back to
win the 30 plus class aboard his Mike
Skinner – tuned machine – while Robinson, nestled on
his Classic Cycles bike – once again took the 40 plus class. It
was an incredible day of racing
for Jesse Walters – he stole the show in two 50cc classes, while
fast kid Logan Piccirillo, took
two second overalls behind the victor. Austin Primavera was not to
be stopped in the 7-11 age
division races – he tore up the 85cc and 65cc moto’s. Dustin
Walker absolutely stormed the B classes – taking his Kawasakis
in for both the Intermediate
125 and 250 race overalls.
