It
was all about Steve Andrich at this fair race motocross in
Southern Ohio, although fast and young amateur racer Levi
Kilbarger had a good night, as well. Andrich
was indeed the man in the 125 pro class, stealing the show aboard
his Suzuki-Of-Greenville backed
RM-125, then stepping aboard his 250 to manhandle the 25
plus A class at this terrific little circuit behind the midway.
The 250 pro class was all about
Levi Reid, like Andrich, a Californian spending some time at these
motocross- crazy circuits of
Ohio - where you can race almost every night of the week, if so
desired. Reid not only won the 250 pro
class, but took third behind Chris Whitcraft in
the 125 pro class, as well. In amateur class race - action, Levi
Kilbarger, of nearby Logan and
recently returning after a broken collarbone - was just too fast
for the competition here at New
Lexington, he flung his 250 F Yamaha in for two convincing wins
- taking the Schoolboy and 125 B class races in this one moto
format night program. The old
guys were dicing hard, too - at this rain-plagued event, as the
moisture fell about halfway through
the night's program - adding to the elderly racer's
enjoyment of the festivities, with Dickie Hoy sliding his way into
the 30 plus class win and Kim "Hammadog-2" Hamilton
taking the 40 plus class race. Nobody, but nobody, was stopping
Brock Bowman at this fair race facility - Bowman
crushed the packs of riders chasing him in the 65cc and
Mini-Junior (85cc) classes, as
Bowman screamed his Kawasakis through to green victory in both
races.
